TN2 is the second television channel of Rádio e Televisora Nacional, the South Matamanian public broadcasting corporation. Commonly referred as the Segundo Canal (English: Second Channel) or simply Dois (English: Two), this historically state-run television channel started its regular broadcasting on December 25th, 1968. Nowadays, TN2 is a public service, advertising-free channel that serves as an alternative to the mainstream channel of RTN, TN1. Similar to channels such as GRT Two, La 2 de TVL, RTA2, PBS, HBC Two and RBC, TN2 aims at less mainstream and more intellectual content.
