The Socialist Party (Portuguese and Mirandese: Partido Socialista), formerly known as the South Matamanian Socialist Action (Portuguese: Ação Socialista Sul-Matamiana, Mirandese: Açon Socialista Sul-Matamiana) between 1964 and 1973, commonly known by its acronym PS, is a center-left political party in South Matamah and one of the largest political parties in the country. The party is currently the governing force in the country. Its current Secretary-General and de facto Leader of the Opposition is Pedro Neves Souto.
