1997-1998[]

Caracol Radio was launched on January 2, 1997, replacing Radio La Máxima, a station that was broken and acquired months earlier by centralian businessman society and Grupo Caracol from Viride. The brand and stations IDs was the same as the Viridian station.

1998-2003[]

In 2003 the station was bought by Claudio Mendiola Carrillo, who previously founded the station with Enrique Strempler Roig, retired since 1999 and at the time of buying, retains the 55% of share in the station with Prisa from Latinolia, who sells his percent to the centralian businessman.

2003-2009[]

Radio Caracol 2003

The first logo launched in July 2003 under the new administration and under brand license to use the "Caracol" logo from Prisa Radio.

2009-2018[]

Radio Caracol 2009

Brand licence was expires in December 2008 and the next month, in January 2009 a new logo was launched, replacing the Caracol logo with a similar composition and a new logo font.

The station was bought by CINSA Radio in May 2017.

Radio Caracol

The station is to be renamed to Radio Caracol in March 2018 under the new administration.
