GRT Four is an Anglosovic free-to-air television channel owned and operated by the GRT. It was launched in 1992 as GRT Knowledge and was rebranded to its current name on 2 March 2002, with a schedule running from 7:00 pm to 4:00 am, timesharing with CGeeries (which starts at 6:00am). The channel shows "a wide variety of programmes including arts, comedy, documentaries, music, international film, original programmes, drama and current affairs ... an alternative to programmes on the mainstream TV channels". It is required by its licence to air at least 100 hours of new arts and music programmes, 110 hours of new factual programmes and to premiere 20 foreign films each year.

On March 19th, 2013, coinciding with the full move of its news operations to the Broadcasting House, the GRT launched a brand new identity for all of its services, including GRT Four. As a result, GRT Four modified its 2005 idents to include the 2013 logo.
