Following the loss of GSEV to Fox as part of the New World Communications' multi-station deal, NBC signed an affiliation deal with independent station GROR in order to remain on a VHF station, becoming the network's newest affiliate in Espreeville and joining fellow Multimedia-owned NBC stations VGYC in Cloverland, Owsheio, GSDK in St. Francis, Lissouri and VBIR in Steville, Darrensee.

By the time this logo was introduced, GROR's parent company Multimedia, Inc. was acquired by Gannett Company. Therefore, GROR began using the Spinning G-Globe animation as used by other Gannett-owned stations, such as VURA in Nashwington, D.E., VXIE in Eurcasta, GURA in Dolver, GARE in Minneville-St. Phillips, VMTZ in Deacon, Gregoria and neighboring stations GNWC in New Cesterfield and GOKK in Oslana.
