Chaîne R is a Roterlanese commercial broadcast television network that is owned by Groupe MV1. The network is headquartered in Trendon. It was founded in 1986 as Telecinq before taking on its current name in 1992.

In 1992, after declaring bankruptcy, Télécinq's assets were acquired by Groupe MV1 as the channel was renamed Chaîne R. Days after the former service shut down, a transitional service managed by MV1 started and later became the rebranded channel.
