Timeline of Macamotian animation

Inspired by Vengatio1's Vranime list in his Miraheze Gapia Wiki sandbox

As obvious, under construction

  • 1 Information
  • 2 2000s
  • 3 2010s
  • 4 2020s

Macamotian animation refers to the growing animation industry in Macamot. Originally Macamot was mostly known for outsourcing work by Atlansian animation studios, in recent years it began to produce original animation of its own and many became popular to the point they were distributed internationally to success.

The animation styles were diverse, with many Macamotian cartoons either having a cartoonish western artstyle, or having Hokuseiese-influenced anime artstyle.

Farewell from The Testcardiologist

Note: the opinions stated by the author might not reflect the position of the publisher.

This is The Testcardiologist speaking. I have been banned from Gapia on March 8th for reasons I won't publicly announce. Since then I have thought about my future not only regarding Gapia, but also regarding a separate community in general. Unlike other users, I think I have overstayed my welcome like KansasJ. And because of the ban, my interest in Gapia began to fall. There's legally no second chance, I would still be banned otherwise. And back in 2017 when I started, it was a chaotic period, I thought I had the abilities to control over certain countries. Having lurked since the Geian days, I started a mass period of posting when a friend of mine from …

The end? (of me on LFP)

The HP laptop that I have been using for more than two and a half years is starting to fall apart (as if the ventilation issues weren't enough).

LFP for me is deprecated for Gapia, so I feel like cutting my participation here or even shelve it.

I'll continue working in the Gapian body of work but by means of other channels.

I'll also leave LP due to the massive swarm of users editing pages and adding nonsense to them.

Ehrhardt-McMullen Productions: The Men's Week Interview: Part 1: The Beginning:

The following is a excerpt from the Men's Week issue dated 31 August 2021.

Nancouver. This once-sleepy town seemingly transformed overnight into the land of the stars. Nowadays, you'd be hardpressed to find a corner of the town that isn't being currently used to shoot the latest Omega or Orbit blockbuster. But somewhere, in a place far removed from all the glitz and glamour, there's a nondescript brick building on a street corner.

Those gossippers with sharp tongues claim that it's so far away because it's the home of the "Electromagnetic Pulse" - a force that repels all good scripts from the vicinity. That Ehrhardt/McMullen Productions' name starts with those 3 characters is, seemingly, a coincidence - although EMcP (as they've always prefe…

The Future?

We all make terrible decisions.

We all pretend to act like gods.

And sometimes we all think it's OK to put things on standby.

In these four and a half years since I joined Gapia (counting the couple of years lurking even in the days of Geia) I have done many good things and many bad things, and lately since I haven't been able to cope with that much pressure because of losing my YT channels and current world events, I have pushed for many BOT-related things which I think is impossible, and even I took many questionable decisions in the past (like infusing Sri Lankan elements to Jembirnia).

I am an expert in making fictional countries since at least my childhood and long before the "grandfather" of Geia (Cazbekistan) was created I was already c…

Movistar TV South Matamah - List of channels (2021)

Telefónica do Matamá do Sul, S.A., then doing businesses as Telefónica, launched its IPTV service under the Telefónica TV Digital in 2006, around the same time the Sonaecom and Roterlânie Télécom-backed Clix SmarTV was launched, being one of the first of the kind of the country. Its main features at its launch included a movie rental service, rewinding during live broadcasts and record hours of programming, with HD services being later introduced in 2007/2008. In 2010, as part of the brand unification held by the company, all direct-to-consumer services were now branded as Movistar and, consequently, the service was renamed Movistar TV.

Shin-chan in Eusqainia

Now that Fox Comedy started rerunning the second dub here in Portugal, I became hooked to it once more (help me to control it!). Just for fun (auxilio, Test).

Shin-Ei Animation's second most profitable franchise (after obviously Doraemon), it's a cultural icon in its native Hokusei and most of Asikai as well as the Iperdian Peninsula, but it's not safe from criticism due to its constant innuendo and, even with the premature death of its creature in 2009, it's still going strong after all these years.

UPC South Matamah April 2008

WIP

Point of view is April 2008. Telesat had been around for ten months now and only then it started to massively promote itself with a huge ad campaign. The provider wars now had new players and they were more keen on the new kids rather than giving Asulcabo the attention it deserved. At the same time Asulcabo forcibly buys three regional cable operators in an attempt to become more powerful.

UPC was one of the extant companies that seemed to, by this time, align itself more with the new kids on the block rather than Asulcabo, which was on the verge of revitalization. Using synergies with Talcia's VTR (which Liberty owned a majority stake since 1996), a new channel line-up was put in place in 2005. Also, UPC had broken Viacom's exclusivity …

A Brief Inquiry into 4Panel Studios

It's 1994. 4Panel come into existence.

Their first few years are pretty quiet.

They basically work with every mid-tier Atlansian manga distributor under the sun.

It's 1997. They release Evangelion. They've just barely stopped releasing it - Ani's got the rights to release the Netflix dub now.

It's 1998. They release Pokémon. Yes, that one. It's hugely successful. Yes, that successful. When 4Kids drops it, they start licensing it straight from the source. They still use the Anglicized names and the international openings though. It's still working out for them.

Time passes. They want to get into the manga business. EMcP, their owners, don't want to - so 4Panel convinces EMcP that they should slowly spin them off - it takes until 2004 for them to…

  • 4 Eusloida
  • 5 Surtaline
  • 6 Cenhasia
  • 7 New Eusland

  • Canon ending: despite several financial crisis and corruption scandals, the country has managed to retain some social stability and, although not as economically strong as Rialmany, Roterlaine or Anglosaw, it still has a rather strong influence around the world, especially on its former colonies.
  • Good ending: South Matamah never entered the World War I, managing to get some financial and social stability throughout the Great Depression, being forced to join the Allies during World War II due to Palesia and Anglosaw's pressure, managing to be a winning combination for the country. The Colonial War never happened as the country got influenced …

Television in the Waller Islands

WTS signed on in October 1958. It became the second Anglosovic territory in Caribsia to introduce television, but since the WI had an autonomous self-governing rule since Jonah Quimby was elected in 1954, the islands voted against the decision of making the station an ITV company, just like in the Seleines. Running on channel 4 in Waller City, the station had CBS and Remission (who owned a successful - but somewhat limited - cable radio service limited to political and Anglosovic elites) as its main shareholders.

As Atlansian influence started taking the islands by storm, Remission's assets at WTS were reduced every few months. In October 1960 they still owned 50%, but in April 1961 their stake was reduced to just 35%. More local and Atlans…

The Inside Men

Now, you may have heard of a comedy troupe called The Inside Men in my prior blogpost. "But Colorband," you screech at me as I yet again fail to make more logos, "What exactly is a The Inside Men?"

Well, that's a very good question! The Inside Men are a Rivlandian comedy troupe that got their start in 1983 when they made a show for RNT Two called... well, The Inside Men. It was absurdist and silly - kind of like Anglosaw's The Young Ones without the musical interludes. Back then, there were only 3 Inside Men - Curt Middleton, Tony Hill, and Russ Alvarez. It was rather popular, but only ran for 2 seasons. In 1990, TVM - then only recently having started national broadcasts - flaunted their newspaper backing and commissioned a sketch show by t…

  • Has made some great Eurdecian drama this past decade.

  • Skews more towards a younger audience.
  • Blessed (cursed?) Rivland with the comedy troupe The Inside Men.

  • ...who?
  • Almost no one in the Rivlandian media cares, as they see TVM as nothing more than an upstart rabblerouser. Despite the fact that they went national 30 years ago!
  • This leaves them free to help other Eurdecian channels make... drama shows. Apparently, they think they ca…
